BOWLING FESTIVAL 2012 AT JEDDAH BOWLING CITY.
FEBRUARY BOWLING FESTIVAL 2012 AT JEDDAH BOWLING CITY
Is an individual bowling tournament conducted by FEDBG in coordination with Bowling City purposely to uplift competitiveness of each member. This is open to all Damayan duly registered male and female Filipino Bowlers of classes O, A, B, C and D only.
I. SCHEDULES
This tournament starts on DEC, 2011 (Semifinals of FBF Bowlfest 2012) and qualifying continues on all bowling events conducted by FEDBG here at Bowling City. Registration must be before the start of any event.
Semi Finals (FEB, 2012, AM.). Check-in time: 1st roll call – 7:30AM; 2nd roll call – 7:45 AM, Last roll call and call for reserved bowlers – 7:50 AM. ONCE RESERVED BOWLERS ARE CALLED, THE LATE REGULAR QUALIFIERS ARE DEEMED DEFAULT. Draw of lanes shall be at 7:55AM and shadow bowl at 8:00AM.
Finals shall be right after the semifinals (same day). Draw of lanes before shadow bowl.
II. REGISTRATION FEES
Registration fee is built-in on Monday Fun Games and other announced events. Fifty percent of the total Prize Fund is forwarded to Fund of the Bowlfest. On non-built-in fun games, (Graveyard, FMBL11, Fri. PM league, Solid Martes and Wednesdays) Bowlers must pay SR. 20/4 games or SR. 15/3 games. Two-game entry is not available and Credits are discouraged.

Female Bowlers Semi-finals Registration fee SR. 100
Note: There shall be draw of lane assignment before every fun game and elimination stages. Request for favorite lanes or companion on same lanes is not allowed.
III. FORMAT (Men's division, Scratch Only)
A. Qualifying [by class O, A, B, C and D based on the latest FEDBG Ratings]
Bowlers must complete at least 15 games in order to qualify to top 5 on O, top 10 on A, top 10 on B, top 12 on C and top 10 on D. Once participants completed 15 games they may improve their positions in game by game basis from the squads/events they joined. Last qualifying shall be on November 24 (Thursday). Semifinalists shall be declared after the last roll on the last squad.
HI-PER BOWLING BALL CHALLENGE – BEST 15 SCRATCH GAMES.
1. TRY TO SCORE: Class O – 3,950; A – 3,850; B – 3,750; C – 3,550; D – 3,350
2. Tie breaker: Bowler each class that recorded the score first wins the ball.
B. Semi-finals (Scores start from Zero. High-and-low breaks the tie, Draw lanes)
1. Qualifiers shall play 4-game scratch series to determine the top 3 from class O, and top 4 from A, B, C, and D. Survivors each class get their corresponding prize. Transfer lane every game.
C. Finals (Initially Zero, High and low breaks the tie. Hdcp: O+0, A+6, B+12, C+16, D+24)
1. Finalists play 3-game series with handicap to rank themselves for the overall major prizes. Transfer lane every game.
IV. FORMAT (Ladies Division)
A. Qualifying (AB combined and CD combined. Handicap included)
Bowlers must complete at least 15 games in order to qualify to top 8 each group. Once the participants completed 15 games they may improve their positions in game by game basis from the fun games they joined. Qualifying starts on Sept. 2 (RBF Bowlfest 2011 semifinals) and last qualifying shall be on Nov. 24 (Thursday). Other qualifying days shall be announced. Top 8 each group shall be declared after the last roll on the last squad and shall advance to Semi Finals. In case of tie on the last berth and special awards, the bowler that recorded the score first prevail.
B. Semifinals (Score start from Zero, High and Low breaks the tie)
Together with the male semifinalist, Lady Qualifiers shall play 4-game series with handicap to determine the four (4) finalists each group. Top 4 each group get their corresponding prize.
C. Finals (Scores start from Zero, High and Low breaks the tie)
Finalist shall play 3-game handicapped series to determine the champion and runners-up positions. They shall pace with male bowlers whose transfer of lane is every game.
V. HANDICAPPING (LA+10, LBplus + 15, LB+20, LC+30, LD+40)
Note: Bowlers from outside Jeddah must present authenticated certificate of classification from his bowling club and must register to Damayan to be able to participate in this tournament. In the absence of attesting document he/she will be allowed to play as class A to be re-rated after the completion of 24 games.After 24 games his/her score shall be computed for classification.Lowest rating available is class is B.
VI. FOUL LINE shall be strictly observed during the entire duration of the tournament. Bowlers who rolled a foul on their first ball must reset the machine for new set of ten pins for their second ball. In case of breakdown of one foul light system, all of them shall be turned off and foul rolls shall be manually monitored.
VII. TOURNAMENT TECHNICAL COMMITTEE
TTC shall handle disputes on technical matters like foul throws, wrong pacing, dead ball, lane dressing etc. The Chairman of this committee is Mr. Ed Sardiña. He is privileged to invite 2 members to help him in his functions. Grievance and Dispute Committee chairman is Eng'r. Ernie Geslani. He can have two members too.
VIII. PRIZES
Fun game prizing shall be on the discretion of the organizers from the 50% of the fun game's net proceeds. Female-bowler squad winners shall be determined according to the number of squad participants. The other 50% of the proceeds shall be forwarded to the FEDBG NOVEMBER Bowlfest 2011 Prize Fund.

XIX. ORGANIZERS RESERVATIONS
Matters not specifically mentioned above shall be dealt methodically by the organizers including forfeiture of cash prize in case of no-competition settlement of aspirants.
